Strengthening Communities Through Math: Valdés Math Honored with NBCUniversal Grant

We are proud to announce that Valdes Math is a winner of The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation’s 2025 Local Impact Grants Challenge. The Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation has granted $2.5 million this year to nonprofits that are strengthening our communities.

By winning this competitive grant, we hope to continue driving impact in our community. Grant programs like this help us achieve our mission by propelling our local communities forward and fostering growth. With this newly won grant, we will be able to continue to contribute to the development of the whole student by advancing their math skills and enabling them to flourish in a diverse community.

We will use the funding to invest in our 2026 Summer Program—supporting both students and staff as we expand opportunities for learning and growth. Though it may feel far away, this award allows us to plan boldly for the future, ensuring that next summer’s students will have access to the resources, mentorship, and encouragement they need to thrive. This grant is more than an award to our program - it is a celebration of our mission and we are very happy to share this exciting opportunity for growth.
