The José Valdés Math Institute is an organization whose mission is to improve students' skills in math and
close the achievement gap in San Jose and Silicon Valley.
The original vision of Mr. José Valdés was to ensure
that minority and underrepresented children be given equal
opportunities to succeed in mathematics. This ideal provides the
foundation of our philosophy at Valdés.

Recent News & Updates
We will begin holding informational meetings this Friday, February 10, for those families interested in having their children attend the 2012 Valdes Math Institute. It is recommended that all new families and those who have not participated for several years attend these meetings. However, all interested students and families are invited. Student applications are now accessible. Click on Student Applications to the left to get to the application page. Please be sure to read the requirements and procedures to apply. You may apply directly on-line or print out and mail in an application. We will be placing informational meeting and test dates on our calendar by the end of the week. Please check our Calendar for times and locations of our Tutoring sessions. No pre-registration necessary. Students may stay for 5 minutes or the entire session, whatever they need.
