The José Valdés Math Institute is an organization whose mission is to improve students' skills in math and close the achievement gap in San Jose and Silicon Valley.

The original vision of Mr. José Valdés was to ensure that minority and underrepresented children be given equal opportunities to succeed in mathematics. This ideal provides the foundation of our philosophy at Valdés.

Testimonials

[Mallory] has shown more improvement in her math skills over the last couple of week’s than I can ever remember. After speaking with you the other day I realized that the Institute has taken my daughter's best interests to heart. I cannot begin to explain the relief that it gives me to finally feel as though Mallory’s mother and I are not alone in our mission to improve her math skills. I would like to thank you for your continued support and extend my gratitude as a father. ---Excerpt from a letter to a Valdés teacher.
